Breakthrough Military Technologies – Humanoid Robots in Armed Forces

Dr. Jernej Letnar Černič will deliver a lecture on 26 May 2026 at a seminar entitled Breakthrough Military Technologies – Humanoid Robots in Armed Forces.

“This year’s seminar is dedicated to the use of humanoid (human-like) robots in armed forces, providing an insight into the current state of development of such systems worldwide and exploring their potential roles in the armed forces of the future.

The rapid development of humanoid robots — a specific segment of autonomous systems — undoubtedly brings new challenges to society at large, and by extension to armed forces around the world. At the seminar, guest experts will outline the current state of humanoid robot development, reflect on the reasons for their use in armed forces, brief participants on the technical challenges of their development, and touch on the ethical questions surrounding their future use.

Seminar venue and time:
Jable Castle, Mengeš, Tuesday, 26 May 2026, approximately 08:00–16:00.

Attendance is closed to the general public.”
